Irene holds a BSc. Wildlife Management from Egerton University, where she developed a strong foundation in conservation biology, ecological research, and sustainable wildlife practices. Her journey in conservation has been shaped by working with organizations that share their love for wildlife. As a student trainee at Kenya Wildlife Service, Irene assisted in ecological research, helped monitor wildlife, and saw firsthand the challenges of protecting nature. She later joined Save the Elephants as an intern, where she deepened her understanding of elephant behavior, movement patterns, and explored ways to promote human-elephant coexistence. Outside work, Irene finds joy in the simple wonders of natureâphotographing wildlife, and exploring new landscapes. She also loves connecting with like-minded people, exchanging ideas, and being part of projects that make a lasting impact. With a deep appreciation for nature and a drive to make meaningful impact, she is always seeking new ways to contribute to conservation efforts.
