Albanus Musyoka

Albanus is a wildlife ecologist with a strong academic background and extensive hands- on experience in the field. Holding a BSc in Wildlife Management, he graduated in 2017 from Karatina university and have since immersed himself in the world of wildlife conservation, contributing actively to various conservation projects. Currently, he is working as a Research Assistant in the Tsavo Lion Project, where he plays a pivotal role in organizing and executing fieldwork operations. His responsibilities in the project include conducting wildlife surveys utilizing various techniques such as transect counts and camera trapping. He also manages field generated data providing timely summaries for analysis and reporting.

Driven by passion for academics, Albanus is in the final stages of completing his MSc in Environmental Studies. His academic pursuit has enriched his understanding of ecological systems and conservation strategies, providing him with comprehensive knowledge base to contribute meaningfully to the field of wildlife conservation.

Beyond the confines of work and academia, Albanus finds solace in nature. He loves camping, hiking and birdwatching. He also enjoys playing football as it provides him with a life balance and fostering teamwork a value he believes is crucial in both professional and personal development.
